Q.  What is a Partners Bank Visa Debit Card?

A.  The Partners Bank Visa Debit Card is the most convenient way to access the funds from your checking account. Whether it's making an everyday purchase, or accessing cash at an ATM, it's easy and convenient. All transaction detail is easily tracked using Online Banking or your monthly statements.

Q.  How does it differ from a Credit Card?

A.  Unlike Credit Card products where you can accumulate a balance and pay interest, a Debit Card simply deducts purchases automatically from your checking account balance.*

Q.  How do I get a Partners Bank Visa Debit Card?

A.  Either visit us at the Partners Bank branch office or give us a call at (949) 732-4000. We can also order replacement cards for you. Remember, you must have a Partners Bank checking account prior to ordering a debit card.

Q.  What should I do if I can't remember my PIN (Personal Identification Number) or want to change it?

A.  Call the toll free customer service number listed on the back of your card to order a new PIN. If you know your PIN, and want to change it, you can also do so at any ATM displaying the Visa logo. A new PIN can also be ordered for you at our branch office.

Q.  How do I make purchases using my Debit Card?

A.  Just swipe your card at any merchant accepting Visa® and enter your PIN or sign for your purchase. It's as easy as that. You may also use your card for online or phone-based purchases by simply following the instructions provided.

Q.  What is the difference between 'debit' or 'credit'?

A.  At check out merchants may ask you to select 'debit' or 'credit'. When choosing 'debit', you will have to enter your PIN to complete the transaction. When choosing 'credit', the merchant may require a signature for purchase. With either choice, when using your Partners Bank Visa Debit Card, your purchase is deducted from your checking account.

Q.  What if my card is lost or stolen?

A.  Notify the bank immediately if your card has been lost or stolen. During business hours (Monday-Friday, 9:00am-4:00pm) please call (866) 323-2741 or (949) 732-4000. To report a lost or stolen card after business hours, please call (800) 264-5578.

Q.  What should I do if I suspect unauthorized debit card transactions on my account?

A.  Notify the bank immediately if you notice any unauthorized charges on your debit card. This could possibly indicate fraudulent use of your debit card and card number. To notify us of any unauthorized charges on your account, please call (866) 323-2741 or (949) 732-4000. If you need assistance after bank hours, please call (800) 265-5578.
